Roy L. DeHart to present NASA 2020 Mission to Mars
Famous aerospace physician heads medical research on Mission to Mars
World-renowned occupational, environmental and aerospace physician Roy L. DeHart will present findings on astronaut health on the proposed 2020 NASA Mission to Mars. Vanderbilt has been instrumental in providing NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, medical research on the physical toll of long-duration space flight, and DeHart has spearheaded the research. Fundamentals of Aerospace Medicine, first edited by DeHart in 1985, has been influential in NASA’s own research on the mission.
